It begins:

Kinja'd!!!

Will update with more photos and info at the end of the “work day”.

Also: fuck yeah engine hoist!

Update:

After much screwing around I have 3 joists fully installed to my overly picky dimensions; and flat/slightly crowned upwards and rigid as hell. And one old 3” sagged joist removed.

I just quickly slapped the lights back onto the joist so I’d have more light as it got dark. They’ll end up on the ceiling sheets. Pic!

Kinja'd!!!

Tomorrow I’ve got to remove everything on the floor on the “trailer side” and put one/two more in before we go for a picnic. Slowly. But it’ll get there.

Oooooh, that looks exciting. Looks like all new insulation in prep for new drywall? Sounds promising. Keep us updated!

Is that an engine hoist doing beam support duties? If so, I like the ingenuity !

Did you really have that last like about using an engine hoist, there the whole time or did you edit the post, adding it after? Because, if so I feel like an idiot for my previous comment.

Garage was never insulated before. I did it a couple winters ago trying to get it done before winter. Never finished. No work equals plenty of time.

The pic was up and then you made the comment. But thanks. It has made it a little easier than trying to hold it up and screwing a post onto it.
